At OOU, we recognize that while organic cotton is a better alternative to conventional cotton, it isn’t entirely impact-free. Grown without harmful chemicals and using significantly less water, organic cotton supports healthier ecosystems and safer farming practices. However, it can still produce slightly higher carbon emissions than conventional cotton due to lower yields and more land usage.
Despite the higher emissions, organic cotton avoids toxic pesticides, improves soil health, and boosts biodiversity, making it a smarter long-term choice for both people and the planet.
